Adam advises on all aspects of all employment law, including employment litigation and practical and strategic employment law advice on issues affecting businesses and individuals. He advises employers of all sizes (listed plcs to SMEs), senior executives across a range of sectors and city professionals employed in the banking, financial services and insurance industries.
Adam’s principal areas of practice include conducting employment tribunal litigation from unfair dismissal to complex discrimination claims, advising both employers and senior executives on contract negotiations and contentious grievance, disciplinary and severance situations, and advising on major strategic HR projects such as significant changes to employees’ contractual terms and redundancy or restructuring situations.

- Advising on and negotiating appointments and severance terms for directors and other senior executives.
- Bonus arrangements and disputes.
- FCA-related and other regulatory employment issues for employees in the banking and financial services industry.
- Advising both employers and senior executives on employment-related restrictive covenants and confidentiality obligations and disputes.
- Advising on sensitive whistleblowing situations and related claims.
- Trade union industrial action and disputes.
- All aspects of the TUPE regulations, from practical advice on TUPE transfers to litigation over TUPE-related disputes.
Adam has experience of advising employers and individual clients in a range of sectors including transport and logistics, investment banking, insurance, management consultancy, technology, film, television, publishing and hotel and restaurant chains.
Adam qualified as a solicitor in 1999, and previously worked in the employment teams at major London and international law firms Olswang (2000-2005) and Norton Rose (2005-2008) before joining former Olswang colleague Bill Parker as a partner at City firm Maxwell Winward prior to leaving in 2013 to establish Walbrook Law as a leading boutique employment law firm.
